Kid Nate Has a Kid

Believe it or not, nerdy bloggers - even those who cover MMA - actually reproduce. BloodyElbow.com's own Founding Editor Kid Nate is now the proud father of a baby boy! Weighing in at 10lbs and 7 ready ounces, he stands 21 inches tall and hails from Alexandria, VA. Kid Nate reports Mom and baby are doing just fine and that the baby "was spared a life time of drunken birthday brawls by being born a red head two days before St. Patrick's Day."

From everyone here at BloodyElbow.com, congratulations on the newest addition to your family and we welcome the opportunity to brainwash a kid from Day One into appreciating and loving MMA!

Yeah, Nate, your kid is huge. I was about this size when I was born and I'm not small fry these days. Get your kid into the gym early and lock the doors on him. Someone has to take out Anderson Silva.

I vote for striking with some good ol' fashioned crazy dad stuff like insisting your kid be a southpaw.

Congrats! That is one big boy, maybe have him spend his summers in Brazil to work on his BJJ and the rest of the year in a good local gym for his standup! lol Who knows, in 20 years you may be reporting on his latest heavyweight title defense!

we'll be working takedowns and takedown defense at least 30% of the time -- got to be sure he can dictate where the fight happens.

I voted for jiu jitsu.....but beware, when you are changing his diaper you will be  especially vulnerable to the Kid's rubber guard, he may lock in a gogoplata...or in this case a gaa gaa goo goo- plata
