Filho Out of Sonnen Fight....Again

Filho's management told Sherdog that Filho won't be fighting in March but will defend his belt against Chael Sonnen in June. The problem? According to Filho manager Jorge Guimaraes:

"We tried our best with Filho, but it didn't work and he'll not fight in the WEC," Guimaraes said. "He tried with all his effort to accomplish the title defense, but he realized he couldn't do it due to chemical dependence and depression. He knew this kind of stuff does not have a link with the sport, and I'm happy he had a conscience and looked for help."

Filho is in a clinic getting treatment. Best wishes to Paulo for a speedy recovery.

MMA on Tap is reporting that Bryan Baker has been offered the fight against Sonnen.

I'm going to go out on a limb and bet on cocaine.

It would give a good indication of his Ricco Rodriguez-esque downshifting from the beatdown he gave Joe Doerkson to the lackluster performance he displayed against Chael Sonnen.

Atleast he has people around him who are helping him. (hopefully)
