TUF Competition; Early Predictions for the TUF Finale

I have to say, overall, I was pretty disappointed in this season of TUF. There weren't enough good fights to overshadow the lame antics of the cast members, in my opinion. Nevertheless I am still excited about the finale. I love the fact that we get all 16 guys mixing it up together in this year's finale. It should be some interesting fights (and probably a few lame ones too.) Here are my early predictions for the TUF Finale. Feel free to agree or disagree.

Star-divide

MAIN CARD

Junie Browning vs. Dave Kaplan
Interesting matchup. I really dislike Junie and the attention he is getting for being a subpar fighter, but I am not sure Dave is much better. I think if Dave comes out, pushes the pace, and controls Junie I think he can win. But I'm not sure Dave can do that so I am calling Junie for this one. Junie by TKO.

Kevin Burns vs. Anthony Johnson
I can't wait for this fight. If you didn't see the first one I suggest you YouTube it and check it out. Johnson was whoopin' up on Burns until he (Burns) "accidentally" poked Johnson in the eye so hard that it tore his cornea. I think Johnson is going to come out for that "W" hard and Burns is in for a whole world of trouble. Johnson by TKO.

Jason MacDonald vs. Wilson Gouveia
The funny thing about MacDonald is he is always the underdog and every once in a while he can pull out some nice wins. However, I think Gouveia may be too much for him and once again, Jason MacDonald will play stepping stone to a rising UFC star. Gouveia by Submission.

Vinny Magalhaes vs. Ryan Bader
Uh... I think this one is a no brainer. Vinny is going to win. Quickly. UNLESS he tries to do the machismo thing and stand up with Bader then I would call it for Bader. But Vinny can't be that stupid. Can he? Vinny by Submission.

Phillipe Nover vs. Efrain Escudero
Believe it or not I think this one is a tough one to call. Not that I think Efrain has a chance, but I'm not sure how Nover is going to beat him. He has fantastic standup, great ground game... Its a mystery. I'm going to say that because Efrain has the wrestling background Nover is going to want to stand up with him to be on the safe side. Nover by TKO (or maybe KO?).

PRELIMINARY CARD

* Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Shane Primm (TKO)
* Eliot Marshall vs. Jules Bruchez (SUB)
* Kyle Kingsbury vs. Tom Lawlor (TKO)
* Shane Nelson vs. George Roop (TKO)
* Rolando Delgado vs. John Polakowski (TKO)

idk if vinny is going to win as easily as everyone says.

you would think it makes sense… a wrestler is going to want to take the fight to the ground, where vinny is a bjj wizard…

but their are many instances of wrestlers vs bjj black belts where the wrestler is still able to control the bjj guy on the ground for 3 rounds. Yes, vinny is like a super black belt… but it is definitely possible. but bader is a big strong wrestler

Plus, I think bader’s stand up is better than Vinny and vinny’s take downs didn’t seem great great or explosive. Bader might be able to decide to keep the fight standing, surely after watching the vinny v krystof fight he will be training on what to do when vinny pulls guard.

IDK, the fight could be intereting. Everyone on the internet seems to be thinking it will be an easy 1rd sub. Could be but it could be a much harder fight than people think.

I don’t like vinny, he seems cocky as hell, but i hope he wins just because he adds something to the 205 division. Their isn’t anyone in that division with that kind of BJJ. Bader just seems like another Matt Hamill type.

Where is vinny training at now does anyone know? I woudl assume bader went back to arizona

I know Vinny has been at Xtreme Couture lately.

To me, the most impressive thing about Vinny isn’t his BJJ. It is his BJJ combined with his size. I can’t get over how big he looked the other night against Krystof.

As much as I hate to say it, I see the TUF fights as all being one-sided, except for the LW final. And maybe Roli/Polakowski, though I think John’s toughness may sway it his direction.

Eliot Marshall: Bader won. Like I said in the episode, I'm not going to make any excuses. It's my job to be able to deal with when somebody's doing that. It's not his job to change up his tactics.

One of his losses is via “Verbal Submission” I think.
