What about Anderson Silva Vs. Rampage Jackson in March?

I like this fight for a few reasons.  First of all, I would like to see Page fight another fight before he fights for the title.  I truly believe there is way too much talent at 205 to constantly recycle a short list of fighters that have been at the top of the ladder recently.

I still think Machida deserves a shot at the title if he defeats Thiago Silva.  So, let that fight happen and see the results.  Then, you can sort out the title picture.

In the meantime, we know this:  Anderson Silva has not been tested in some time.  He walks around at 225, so he should def be able to match up size wise to some of the bigger guys at 205.  Give him a true test.  Put him in there against Rampage.  The event would take place in Cincinnati Ohio where silva has fought previously.

This would provide a clear cut indication of where Anderson Silva is at as far as the 205 class.  It would make him a huge star if he were to finish Page.

If Page loses, you give him forrest for the revenge fight (Forrest will have been out for a while with a broken hand anyways).  If he wins, have him fight winner of Machida/Thiago Silva for right to face Evans some time in June/July.

If Anderson Silva wins, you can draw up another opponent assuming he doesn't want to face Machida.

Anderson Silva wants a big money fight.  This would be it.

Page is too big….

I suspect Anderson will prey on tweeners and smaller LHW like Wandy or Hendo, maybe Bonner.
