Wanderlei Silva in Good Spirits Following his Loss
Raw Vegas TV caught up with Silva at his afterparty, and he looked to be healthy and in good spirits.
It looks like Wanderlei wants to return at UFC 100 in July. I like the fact that he is taking a good chunk of time off between his fights, the Pride schedule did an incredible amount of damage to his body and he has to take care of it now. Above all else he is a great sport and such a class act, it's hard not to love the guy.

Agreed
It was hard for me to want someone to lose in this fight. But Wanderlei is no longer the champion he was in Japan. I don’t want to label him a gatekeeper.. I hope he can fight in the UFC for years to come; whether that means for big fights at 205, or moving down to 185 (where he can pose a serious threat).
are they still planning to hold title fights for all the belts at 100? Is that even possible? they would have to have 5, 25 minute fights on the televised schedule.. So if wanderlei is there and without a title shot, he would be placed in the undercard?
I know his fight would probably still be televised in between fights, but it wouldnt be live, and the UFC guys would surely have some problems with the scheduling and all.

I don’t believe this was ever a serious plan. It will absolutely not happen.

i actually think 3 title fights is more than enough to generate the biggest UFC card ever. maybe 2 if Brock is there.. They want it to be the most stacked ufc card ever, but with 92 having 3 fights that could be main eventers, anything better than that would already be a huuuge treat for the fans.

It’s more about big fights than title fights. Chuck-Wand, a big title fight, and a big third fight is probably what they’ll do. Lesnar will fight Mir before this.

I like he didn’t try to weasel out of the loss by saying he “caught got, lucky punch, etc” – Wandy admits Rampage had a good camp and he hit first. So now back to the gym – here’s to another axe murder!!!

Yeah, I see both he and Rampage are very similar in how they approach fights and treat losses; they are very classy and know a loss isnt the end of the world.
Look forward to seeing his revival at 185.
I agree with your statement about Wand being a classy loser
but Rampage is far from it. After losing the decision to Forrest he went off about how he did not lose & he has been harping on how he is a better fighter than Wand ever since he got his ass handed to him twice by Wand. That being said-there will never be another Axe Murderer victory the way he was in Pride.
Not Rampage lover, or hater here, but
I seem to remember him being pretty classy after losing to Forrest…now, some people in his camp said some dumb stuff…but not Page.
