Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Similar Images

Microsoft's Live Search has a new feature: if you search for an image, you can hover over one of the results and click a link to find similar images. Supposedly, they're graphically similar, as opposed to being similar based on the search terms - you already have those in your search results - which leads to some interesting finds.

When you look for an image similar to this one:

You get this one as the fifth result:

And I don't know about you, but I can really see the resemblance. Practically twins, wouldn't you say? Just look at those physiques.

To the uninformed observer, the fact that the guy in picture 2 beat the guy in picture 1 is the only really surprising thing.

What? I had to get out a magnifying glass to see that those weren’t the same picture!

what blows my mind is how far mirs physic has come sense that fight, isnt that his come back after the accident?

Yup, amazing the difference when you can actually train. People rag an Mir so much, but the guy has truly come back from a devastating injury. He took several fights for money earlier than he should have, but seems to finally be back in shape again.

Additionally, they tend to forget that he is only 29 years old. He still has a good window of opportunity to cement his place.

You think that’s bad? A search for similar images starting with an image of Arianny Celeste returns an image of Brock Lesnar.

Not surprising: they’ve both had some supplemental enhancements.
