At about 2:14, Shogun throws a lead left jab, then a left body shot, another left jab and a left elbow. Not the most technical or functional combo, but it looked damn cool

this vid gave me a boner
I am a HUGE Shogun fan. To see him back this far looking this good makes me extremely happy. I think the Coleman fight was perfect for him to ease his way back into the deep end of the pool. Barring further injury, 205 is going to be very interesting this coming year.

Eliot Marshall: Bader won. Like I said in the episode, I'm not going to make any excuses. It's my job to be able to deal with when somebody's doing that. It's not his job to change up his tactics.

I'm surprised to hear people thought Shogun looked good there.
I know it’s extremely light sparrring, but there’s just none of the explosiveness to his movements anymore. I don’t think we’ll ever see him how he was again. Injuries and stupid random camp changes robbed his career of his momentum.

Jumping to conclusions?
We’re both talking about the guy who hasn’t fought in 15 months, right? I’d say it’s a safer bet to say he won’t regain his position as #1 at LHW than to say he will.

i think you only watched the beginning of the tape. at the start he looked very slow but once he warmed up he was throwing combos very fast and with both legs. if he is back to 100% 2009 will be an awesome year at LHW.

"If" is the operative word.
I watched the whole tape.
In other news, “if” my aunt had balls, she’d be my uncle.
Injuries keep athletes from realizing their full potential in all sports. MMA is no exception. If you’d have asked me in August of 2005 if I thought Shogun was going to be an all-time great, I would have said yes. Since then, conditions on the ground have changed. If you guys want to continue to base your opinions on fights that took place three and a half years ago, that’s on you, not me.

Shogun loves this sport
I can’t wait to see Shogun DEMOLISH coleman… I just hope the injury doesn’t haunt him and he can continue fighting for a long time… However again he loves bashing peoples faces… Arriba Shogun…
