Really?
THE most anticipated bout in heavyweight history? I know it’s all promotional showmanship but, seriously, that’s a little hyperbolic.

Seriously. That’s hilarious. More people were “excited” for Lesnar/Couture than even know this fight is happening.

My thoughts exactly...
I’m excited for it and it is important in the current heavyweight landscape. But shit…CroCop/Fedor was more highly anticipated than this…

I’ll always root for Andrei but I’m still going with Fedor on this one. After watching that, though, you cannot help but root for the guy.

War Arlovski
it first started i was like wow they got Morgan Freeman to do the voice over? haha but not quite. Still this is kool i like seeing the inside before a fight and i wish Andrei the best of luck one of my fav fighters ever. All i hope is he puts on a good fight. Win or Lose it’s still a contest. I don’t want what happened to Tim to happen to Andrei.

There is no way that this fight is as good as Fedor vs. Big Nog Shockwave 2004 when they were combining both titles. To me that was the biggest heavyweight fight of all time in the young sport of MMA.
Fedor has been in some of the biggest heavyweight fights of all time. I really think (even with his lack of competition) that he is still bar none the greatest pound for pound fighter that the world of MMA has ever seen. I think he will make quick work of Andrei and he will use his incredible sambo to take him down and mount him. FInishing him with punches.
I respect Andrei, and he is a good fighter, but I still have concerns for his game.
I am surprised they did not have Ozzie Guillen pop in and go “yeah.. Andrei is atheletic m F’er. i tried to get that dude as an outfielder, his hand speed is great.” I mean seriously, do I need to learn about MMA from former New Jersey Net Kendall Gill?

War Chicago
They only had Arlovski talk for 30 seconds. I don’t really get attached to what his trainers say about him. Hopefully that changes, and hopefully they don’t make him scream like a velociraptor.
Did you know we are in high demand, Laura?

Credit to Arlovski for doing this himself. I think it can only create positive things for him. Lets hope the fight is closer to a war than Fedor’s last outing.

Well let’s see…
There most recent mutual opponent was Tim Sylvia…
Hardly scientific but it doesnt bode well for Arlovski.
Arlovski had trouble with rothwell and the pillsbury dough boy.
Arlovski has a punchers chance… that’s it.
Fedor is better in every area of the game.
The only heavyweight with probable POTENTIAL to beat fedor is Cain and that’s only “Potential” and that’s a good amount of time from now.

I don't know...
that I’d say Arlovski had trouble with Rothwell. He spent the entire fight picking him apart. Trouble with Nelson, sure. But trouble with Rothwell? nah.
I think he stands a decent chance of winning here honestly but it is going to take him using straight punches from outside. Don’t get too close to where you catch the power of Fedor’s punches and don’t get reckless to where you get taken down.
It’s not exactly a GREAT chance at a win. But I’ll be pulling for him pretty hard.

"The Most Anticipated Heavyweight Bout in History ..."
I guess that whole Fedor-Cro Cop thing a few years ago was just a figment of my imagination.

Arlovski loses when he does promotion shows
Remember when he lost to Sylvia the 2nd time?
They had the cute ring girl interview and follow him around. He was all big pimpn driving his range rover around and showin off his big watches.
And fedor canceled his press tour.
Or put another way: who trains like drago and who trains like rocky?
and rocky always wins…except in rocky 1 and 6…
