*Someone let some young kid in the picture and forgot to tell Babalu this was NOT the "put your fist up like a fighter" shot.

Ortiz looks as big as Barnett and Arlovski in that pic.
Where is Fedor?

Fedor cut some weight and height, he is the little boy standing next to babalu.

fedor canceled his press tour to train harder after the sambo loss
tito is probably standing on something since he’s the insecure guy
and little horedeci (spelling?)is too cute. i feel sorry for the guy in the bar that picks a fight with him cuz he looks like an easy target

The two black guys look like they are blending in the picture with all those dark colored shirts.

That's a great collection ...
of ugly-ass t-shirts right there.

Tito and Arlovski are rocking the suits in back.
In all seriousness, who would have predicted that Affliction could potentially have Barnett, Arlovski, Fedor, Tito, Lindland, Vitor, and Babalu in the same organization. That is a pretty amazing turn around in just a year or two.

It really it impressive for Affliction. This card also has much better match ups than the first Affliction event aside from Barnett / Yvel.

Um..have you seen what Affliction is paying them? i don’t think it’s that impressive at all. it will be impressive if they are still fighting under Affliction in 2 years.

Yeah. Never understood the appeal of Affliction shirts. It’s like Dungeons and Dragons or something.
Still, I am interested to see how this card turns out.

Who would have thought that Lindland decided not to wear a sponsor’s t-shirt there?

Affliction
is yvel cleared to fight in the states yet? has soku/babalu been signed?
by bdw on Dec 18, 2008 8:56 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Yes, CSAC cleared Yvel and Soku vs Babalu has been signed already.

do you have a source for yvel being cleared?
by Phildo on Dec 18, 2008 9:17 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yup, Atencio mentioned it in the conference today.
by MMASuPreMaCy on Dec 18, 2008 9:21 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Where exactly. I see one video of him after the press conference saying that he checked and that he has an email, but nothing saying that Yvel is officially approved yet.
It seems like if Yvel had a license to fight in CA, he would have said “Yvel is licensed to fight in CA” instead of going around in a circle.

kinda like how he keeps saying ticket sales “are doing well”. i get the feeling to the contrary. i guess they do still have a ways to go though.

Not, 100% sure if it was confirmed, but he did mention it.

He mentioned it’s a problem, but he never said he’s licensed.
Usually when someone is asked a yes or no question, if the answer doesn’t involve the words yes or no they’re bullshitting you.
This is very far from “CSAC cleared Yvel”
by Phildo on Dec 19, 2008 9:24 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
When asked about Gilbert Yvel obtaining a license to fight from the CSAC, Tom told us that he has been assured everything is in order and the fight will go off as planned.

Where is that from? I saw a video where he gave a 1 minute response without the word Yes. If it was 100%, why beat around the bush?
