TUF 8 Finale Bonus Prediction Game
Who wins the bonuses for the TUF Finale? A little variation of our betting game here at Bloodyelbow, you make picks of who you think will win Fight of the Night, Submission of the Night, and KO of the Night, and your prediction for the time and round of the Sub/KO/TKO to be used as a tiebreaker if need be. Every correct pick is one point, fight times are only needed in event of a tie.
The winner of this game gets the coveted “Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence”
My Picks:
Fight of the Night
Phillipe Nover Vs Efrain Escudero 2:43 R3 I predict that Efrain weathers an early storm from Phillipe, turns it around in the second, and gets a submission in the third. Barring a quick KO or submission, this should be a wild fight.
Submission of the Night
Vinicius Magalhaes 4:32 R1 Time for some Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Black Magic courtesy of Vinny. This should happen as long as he doesn’t get hit in the face. There will be a submission, and it will be awe inspiring.
KO of the Night
Krzysztof Soszynski 1:53 R2 He’s from Manitoiba, I had to work him in somehow. I normally bet against the guy with the most tattoos, but in Krzysztof’s case I’ll make an exception.
Those are my picks. Please add your own to make this fun.

Fight: Johnson/Burns (over at 4:10 of the 2nd round)
Sub: Vinny over Bader at 3:40 of the 1st round
KO: MacDonald over Gouveia at 4:13 of the 2nd round (I think that Browning could easily get a KO over Kaplan, I think this one will be better)

I certainly hope no other “nationalists” get their feelings hurt and get tossed into any “injustices”.

FOTN: Johnson/Burns Johnson by ref stoppage strikes 3:55 Rd 2
KO: Junie (sorry, just a bad feeling I have, lol) 4:07 Rd 1
SUB: Eliot Arm triangle 3:22 Rd 1
I don’t think Bader is going to give Vinny the chance to sub him. As bad as I don’t want Junie to get the bonus, I also want to see Kaplan get KO’d so he can say he wasn’t KO’d, lol. After seeing what Vinny did to Jules, i expect Eliot to be extremely confident and smart in his fight. BTW, he is in amazing shape for this fight.
Eliot Marshall: Bader won. Like I said in the episode, I'm not going to make any excuses. It's my job to be able to deal with when somebody's doing that. It's not his job to change up his tactics.

If Bader ever clinches with him, Vinny will pull guard and drag him to the ground. If it happens early enough in the fight, Bader will probably be able to stand for awhile, maybe even get out of it once, but eventually he’ll succumb and it’ll be over shortly thereafter. Believe me, I would like nothing more than for Bader to trounce Vinny. He seemed like a pretty good guy on the show and has a ton more potential than Vinny. But stylewise, Vinny is a really bad matchup, especially this early on in his career.

I can’t say I disagree with that possibility. You know, I would say Bader is to big and powerful to get easily subbed, but damn, Vinny is huge. I hear he walks at 240 when he is way out from a fight.

Good lord. I hadn’t heard that. It looked like he was pretty big on the show but that is straight-up ridiculous.

Yeah, I never really noticed until he got in with Krystof. He looked freakin’ HUGE next to Krystof. I have said before and will say it again…the most impressive thing about Vinny, isn’t his BJJ, it is his BJJ at his size.
I really wish i could pull for him, but I’m having a hard time because he seems like such a sourpuss, lol.
