The latest fight card for UFC 93 according to MMA Mania:

Main card (Televised):
205 lbs.: Rich Franklin (24-3) vs. Dan Henderson (23-7)
205 lbs.: Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (16-3) vs. Mark Coleman (15-8)
185 lbs.: Denis Kang (31-10-1) vs. Alan Belcher (13-5)
205 lbs.: Andre Gusmao (5-1) vs. Antonio Mendes (15–3)
155 lbs.: Nate Mohr (8-5) vs. Dennis Siver (12-6)

Under card (May not be broadcast):
170 lbs.: Marcus Davis (15–4) vs. Chris Lytle (26-16–5)
185 lbs.: Rousimar Palhares (8-2) vs. Jeremy Horn (80-18-5)
205 lbs.: Ivan Serati (10-2) vs. Tomasz Drwal (14-2)
170 lbs.: Thomas Egan (3-0) vs. John Hathaway (9-0

Notice that the Marcus Davis/Chris Lytle bout is currently listed on the non-televised undercard. One would think, considering all the talk surrounding the fight, that this scrap would make the televised portion of the event. UFC 93 will originate from Dublin, Ireland on January 17, 2009 and can be seen on PPV.

2 beefs with this card

why are we watching gusmao vs mendes and mohr vs siver and the undersard contains Lytle vs Davis and Palhares vs horn? I would love to see those two undercard fights. Now we have to pray for knockouts.

I don’t believe for one second that Davis v. Lytle will go unaired.

In all seriousness, this is a pretty lousy card. People like to criticize bad PRIDE matchmaking, but here it is again, except in unnecessary rematch form. Mohr/Siver? Gusmao/Mendes? Lytle/Davis should be fun but utterly meaningless since neither is anywhere near title contention; maybe the winner gets Condit? I don’t get why anyone cares about Palahares/Horn though. I like Jeremy Horn plenty but he’s a guy who way way past his best. I really wish I had that fight with Niko on tape to see whether or not he’s really won any of his last 5.

Add me to the list

that is wondering why Davis/Lytle is on the undercard?

The UFC seriously needs to give Davis a push and see if he can move his way into title contention.

How haven’t they given him a push? He was given 6 fairly safe opponents and then a shot at entering legitimate title contention against Mike Swick. He lost. What more should they do for him?

Put his match with Lytle on TV, for example.

Which they will.

They are doing it, they fixed the webpage.
