Takanori Gomi defeated DREAM Lightweight GP Quarterfinalist Katsuhiko Nagata via points (1-0) in the finals of the All-Japan Combat Wrestling Open Championships (think of Combat Wrestling as MMA without any strikes) 73 kg class yesterday.
It is quite impressive by Gomi as Nagata is an Olympic silver medalist in Greco-Roman Wrestling and Gomi got the point with a single leg takedown (even though that isn’t a technique in the Greco-Roman style).

![According to this translation of a passage from Takanori Gomi's blog, the Japanese lightweight free agent has been in talks with Zuffa while in Las Vegas for the Pacquiao-Cotto fight, aided by his friend Tito Ortiz.
