While I won’t condemn him for this, we all make mistakes, i would like to see Dana do something along the lines of a personal conduct suspension, perhaps 6 months. Long enough to miss one fight.

I do condemn him for this…there is nothing more stupid than drinking alcohol and then getting behind the wheel of an automobile putting yourself and the lives of others in danger.

I agree with that absolutely. But, it happens a lot. He needs to be punished and learn from his mistake. If he doesn’t, then I will condemn him completely.

This guy has had sooo many problems. At some poijnt if you are the UFC, you have to cut your losses on certain fighters no matter their talent level.

Did I miss something?
He used banned substance to recover from an injury and got caught. He stood up and admitted it and served his punishment. He will have to live with that forever.
Now he made a mistake drinking and driving. Not acceptable. He should absolutely be punished by the courts and the UFC, imo.
Is there more than that? If not, I agree that he should be on somewhat thin ice, but not tossed from UFC.

Reed Wallace, who represents Franca at the Florida-based White Chocolate Management, told MMARated.com that his client was not under the influence.
"He was very tired when he was driving and was falling asleep at the wheel," Wallace said. "He did not take any drugs or alcohol."
Wallace attended last night’s WEC 36 in Hollywood, Fla., with Franca.
"(The police) released him on his on own recognisant," Wallace said, "which means they probably realized he was not under the influence. If he was, they would have set bail."
