From “Mr. NC-17”:

It’s making ne pretty mad that Wanderlei/Rampage is not being marketed more. I understand that there are two title fights that they need to promote, but considering Rampage is more popular than both heavyweights (even after the TUF show) and Wanderlei is starting to get widely popular with the new breed of MMA fans, this fight is feeling like it never has happened before. I mean, this is make or break for both of these fighters. Can Rampage finally defeat the man who has slaughtered him in the past? Can Wanderlei show on a consistant basis why he was the most dominant fighter not named Fedor in Pride. I think that this 3rd match is huge for the UFC but yet it feels like it is not getting the push it deserves.

Also, I think Mir/Nog will be a striking battle. Lord have Mercy.

I love both fighters but

I think Rampage is going to take this fight to the ground. There is no reason for Rampage to fear Wanderlei’s BJJ since even though he is a black belt he is not very good. I think Rampage will come back to his roots and GnP to victory.

I think the Wolf’s Lair coaches will realize there is no logical reason for Rampage to stand with Wanderlei when he has such a huge advantage in takedowns and ground and pound.

I hope we get to see more shit talking from Rampage and Wandy leading up to this fight.

Wanderlei vs Rampage

Wanderlei will crush Rampage, nothing new here except the Octagon an the fact that Wanderlei really found his groove with taking his conditioning to a new level, whereas Rampage i hope still doesnt believe hes a Rock Star, thats why he lost to Forrest. besides the fact that Rampage really doesnt like to train.

This sounds uninformed. Rampage has come a long way since Pride. He lost to Forrest because Forrest is a damn solid fighter who would probably give Wanderlei, as well as just about anyone, the fight of his life at this point. Even so, Rampage was very much in that fight for all 5 rounds. Not gassing. With a jacked leg. If that doesn’t make you a rockstar, I don’t know what does. Oh, maybe doing all that while not training, i suppose… :-)
