In his first post-IFL action, Chris Horodecki was defeated by Hiroki Shishido via unanimous decision in Japan on Monday as part of the first round of Shoot Boxing's S-Cup 2008 tournament. Horodecki is scheduled to return to MMA as part of Affliction's "Day of Reckoning" PPV in January, where he'll square off against Dan Lauzon. Lauzon is riding a seven-fight win streak, having TKO'd Justin Hammertrum at WCF 5 just over a week ago.

Seriously, I wish all the IFL guys success, but it has become clear that they were fighting at a not quite UFC level, even though many of the fights were quite exciting. Ready to see Wagney…

Ryan Schultz holding Horodecki down and pummeling his face is still one of my fondest memories of the IFL.

Horodecki is an exciting fighter, where does the hate come from? Great skills at a very young age, tough fighter, he looks like a kid so he’s dismissed?
