Kimbo Slice Makes Acting Debut

Maybe there is life after Seth Petruzelli:

His mixed martial arts career may have been cut off at the legs with the apparent demise of EliteXC, but Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson will still manage to grace a television screen near you... and soon.

If you have kids under the age of 15 in your household - or if you just like to indulge in a little Sponge Bob when nobody's watching - you probably already know that Kimbo makes his official acting debut in Nickelodeon's "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh."

Kimbo portrays "Bludge" in the holiday special, a bully character that you don't know whether he's going to "smash somebody or if he's going to give you a hug and a kiss." Bludge actually helps Drake and Josh keep a promise they made to a family of foster children.

According to his behind the scenes interview on Nick.com, Kimbo hit it off well with Drake & Josh star Josh Peck, who apparently took Kimbo under his wing for the former EliteXC fighter's acting debut.

Don't kill me. It's a slow news week.

Power to the guy tho. He’s extremely marketable outside of MMA, that I’m not sure why he’d want to go back to fighting. Take the easy money, Kimbo!

Kimbo was a guy put in a position he just fell in to. Ask yourself if you would turn away main event status if you were a fighter? Everyone made him the villain, but he’s just a guy trying to take care of his family. I’m glad he is still going to keep getting paid even though his MMA ship may have sailed.

Absolutely

People can hate Lappen and the Shaws, but Kimbo was just makin’ money and taking advantage of what they were giving him. No one with any sense would have done otherwise. And to credit, the guy never said a bad thing about anyone, never claimed to be the best, nothing. Just said he was trying.
