Tommy-speer

According to Rochester, Minnesota's Post-Bulletin, TUF alum Tommy Speer is going to continue his MMA career . Following his recent loss to Beau Baker, the former UFC welterweight stated that he was going to retire from fighting to concentrate on farming full-time. Speer is looking to improve his training regimen, possibly with the Minnesota Mixed Martial Arts Academy - home to Sean Sherk and the newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar.

Good luck to him and I hope he improves to more than just a wrestler.

I was impressed with how strong the kid is, making it to the tuf finals with almost no skill. If he could find someone to teach him pretty much anything, he could be dangerous.

I thought Matt Hughes was taking him under his wings – I guess since Tommy lost – Matt gave up on him

Dunno. I remember him saying he was going to, but no idea what happened afterwards. If he did, clearly Speers needed more ;)
