Goran Reljic Rescues Two Men

Fronted by Luke Thomas.

The first and only report from the Croatian press I've seen of this incident was published today by this Croatian news site. Apparently two men crashed into the sea at 3 AM near the home of Reljic who jumped out of bed and rescued the two men in his underwear. The entire article is available at Fight Ticker:

When he heard the crash, Goran jumped out of bed, still in his underwear and jumped into the sea.

He swam to the car, proceeded to brake the windshield of the vehicle and pull both men to land. Several eyewitness accounts confirm the story and so does Goran himself who doesn't want any praise or recognition for the good deed.

"The only satisfaction I get is that both young men are alive and healthy. I don't need any praise. I simply did what anyone one would have done in that situation," said Reljic.

I think Dana White will sack him for unnecessarily putting himself in harms way.

( waiting for Rick Chandler to claim this is fake )

Serious note, good to see an actual good guy.

was going to reference Chandler, but you beat me to it.

Not even a windshield can withstand his LHK.

Me in that situation would call 9-11. Sorry Reljic, you’re a hero.

Unfortunate that this article gets 9 (now 10) comments and the UFC-AKA fiasco gets about 100 times that.

Amazing work from a true hero.

Goran Reljic, by day a mild mannered UFC fighter, by night, The Croatian Caped Crusader!

Reasons why Reljic is more a man than I'll ever be:

1) I probably wouldn’t have gone outside in my underwear.
2) I would have gassed swimming to the car.
3) The sea would be cold. I can’t say that I would have been able to force myself to put sack or nipples under water.
4) I’m relatively certain there’s no way I could break a windshield, especially while swimming.
5) Pulling one man to safety is definitely beyond my capabilities. Two is just nonsense.
6) I’d be sticking my face in front of every microphone available to talk about how awesome I was.

Reljic = tha man.

Hardcore. Maybe he could transfer those balls of steel to Cro Cop – he needs them after his last fight.

Anybody know when he's fighting again?

I mean, kicking windshields is nice. Get a cat out of a tree. Help an old lady cross the street. But really, I just wanna see this guy kick somebody in the head.

Seriously, impressive story. When’s he fighting??

Reljic is pretty badass.

Was meant to fight Thales Leites in November. He got injured so now he’s sitting out and recuperating. He’ll probably fight early next year.

Goran is a dick

Not at all fair for superheroes to be fighting mortals in the cage.
