UFC 93 on Spike TV?
There have been a rash of stories over the past few days suggesting UFC 93 would be on PPV. I was kind of surprised because I knew negotiations were ongoing and I knew Dana wants to only do one PPV a month next year. This may just be an online gaffe, and maybe the show is still on PPV, but the newest image put up today on UFC.com suggests the show is on Spike TV. Head over to the UFC's home page for the image.
Hopefully the show is on Spike, there is a PPV overload early next year.
Update: They have changed the image. This afternoon, there was a promo image for UFC 93 that had a Spike TV logo on it. Now it is changed and no longer has the image, suggesting it was a mistake.
I didn't post it because the people over there have been especially militant about going after sites for using their pictures lately, so I didn't want any trouble.

Nothing against Franklin or Hendo, but they’d have to add a lot to the card to make people want to buy it on PPV.

I thought this card was lacking in star power a while back too, surprised they haven’t added any better fights to it since.
Spike is a good place for it.

You know, think what you want about the business, but the next three months, we are going to be spoiled rotten by amazing MMA. Now that Brock Lesnar is the UFC Heavyweight Champion (man, that still looks weird), let’s sit back, roll a blunt, grab a beer, and watch some fucking fights.

Aside from your promotion of illicit drug use, consumption of alcohol and profanity, I couldn’t agree more.

So basically you agree with ’let’s sit back… and watch some…fights.’
I’ll take it.

I also didn’t have an issue with the profanity, but I couldn’t help adding to my list.

It’s not the lack of star power I have a problem with, it’s the spacing of Zuffa’s cards. Zuffa is running UFC 92 on December 27, UFC 93 on January 17, and UFC 94 on January 31. I’m not dropping $39.95 for each of those.

It says “International Event”, whereas the PPV’s say “PPV Live”. They’re probably still negotiating to get it on Spike. Who knows.

I know you’re not insane Mike, I saw the spike picture on the banner right after you posted this.
Maybe they’re still working it out or they’re waiting to make an “official” announcement.

If they stack all these events into a short time span then UFC 96-100 sure are going to suck. They have a lot of their top fighters fighting on UFC 92-95. By the time they announce UFC 96 it’s gonna be headlined by Dos Santos and Clementi.
