BloodyElbow.com on "Big O & Dukes" Show on 106.7 WJFK

I had the great honor of being on 106.7 WJFK's "Big O & Dukes" to talk UFC 91. We discussed the impact of Brock Lesnar's win, what's next for him, what impact this will have on the careers of amateur and professional wrestlers and much more. Click here to listen to the entire interview.

Great analysis as always Luke. I was surprised that you didn’t mention the unification of the heavyweight belts when O & Dukes asked about Lesnar’s future fights. Is that something that is definitely going to happen after Mir fights Minotauro. I noticed there’s a UFC event penciled in on wikipedia for that first week in March at Columbus. It’s the same week as that Arnold Classic. Wouldn’t that be a good weekend for the Brock vs. Mir/Minotauro heavyweight belt unification bout?

Gotta kinda disagree with you about Saku. While both do come from amateur wrestling backgrounds, the way pro wrestling has a hand in their MMA is night and day. While yes, it would be worthless with Lesnar, Saku’s was the basis of his success.
I can understand it being difficult to explain the difference between Pro-Wrestling and Sports Entertainment. So it’s all cool.

![A little publicity for me today in the Washington City Paper. To wit:
But listening to Kinard, it sounds like management has decided Thomas can transcend his surroundings.
"We thought we’d experiment with some different kinds of shows last year, and of all of them, MMA Nation is the only one that lasted," Kinard says. "I wasn’t aware of anybody else doing [an MMA show]. And [in April] he outperformed our normal weekend ratings by more than double. We started out thinking this has the potential to be a nationally syndicated show, and that’s still our plan. You see MMA all over the place on TV, so why not on the radio?"
I hate to be over the top with the self-promotion, but no one is going to hand me the job and career I'm after. I want to work in MMA full time and the fact is I have to make it happen for myself. Thank you to everyone who has ever shown me an ounce of support towards the pursuit of that dream.
