I love Hong Man Choi and yearn for a true Super Heavyweight division – and not because of all the whiny Randy fans who think it’s oh-so-unfair that Lesnar weighed in at the max. I think of Mark Hunt, Hong Man, Semmy Schilt (who, fingers crossed, may find his way back into the UFC picture), and think – man, if a half dozen NFL trenchmen put a couple of years into the sport, we could see a new division spring up out of nowhere.
Americans love the big boys.

Aoki and Choi are now officially fighting on the card, pending opponents. A week ago they were rumored to be on it. And yes the rest of the post is similar.
This was their status last week as well.
DreamFighters is a week late getting their info.

Totally.
And the funny thing is it wouldn’t really have surprised me much.
Word is they’re still trying to make Aoki vs. Akiyama happen but I don’t see it going down.

Actually, up until Aoki called out “Mikey” they were in fact trying to get a Choi/Aoki fight together.
Choi can't kick?
I watched K1 and noticed Choi, when he does kick, only throws weak lookin front kicks. I have to believe a round kick from that guy would be debilitating even if you blocked it. Plus it’s probably pretty easy for him to reach your head with those legs
Is Choi instructed to go easy on his opponents? I know in this case Sefo also kinda took an ‘exhibition’ approach to the fight.
I havent seen Choi fight elsewhere expect for the Fedor fight.
Can anyone tell me why he doesnt throw round kicks? Surely he’s capable.
