Is it just me
Or does Randy kind of look like Nixon on his last day as president?
Almost like he knows he’s going somewhere that’s not as nice as where he is.

lmao
If he misses weight he’ll just take the rubber band off his arm and pull out the needle.
Come Randy spank the WWE chump….I mean champ lol
I hope lol

Dude
Drop the steroids shit. The man has never tested positive, and unlike Barry Bonds’ freakish late age production (and, oh yeah, skull growth), he’s been unnaturally huge and strong since college.
Just because you were, or are, in the WWE does not mean you do steroids. Or do you want non-MMA fans to tar every figher in our sport as such on the basis of a few positive tests?

dudet
maybe he never tested positive for steriods, but he did get arrested with them in the past…
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/mugshots/lesnarmug1.html
so yeah we can call him a juicaholic!
Easy
I was joking BUT when he was asked about steroids he flips out and walks away from the interview, when he returns he states " I have never failed a drug test " come on how about a simple NO or…I never have. LMAO it was almost like saying……WHAT F@#&IN ROID RAGE!!!!!!

Dos Anjos looks ripped.
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.
EVAN TANNER TRIBUTE BEARD?!?!?!
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.
Brock is about to miss weight!

Put that on your wall
as the moment MMA gained mainstream acceptance.

I think Mir was exactly right when he said 220 was an advantage.
He’s not gonna outmuscle him, so why not mazimize his speed and gas tank?
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.
He looks so small, especially compared to Brock (though Brock is freakishly large, so…)

Looks great, but I honestly do think he's starting to show signs of age
in the chest and neck/shoulders. Arms and abs look the same, to me, but he’s starting to look different.
That said, again, he still looks fantastic.

Can someone explain to me why the panel to the right of the live feed had Randy’s weight listed even before the weigh ins started?
Maybe weigh ins were earlier..but I thought this was live.
GRRRRR!!!
Does he always come in that big? I feel a little surprised that he’s 256, but maybe I shouldn’t be.

Usually he’s like 245 or so I think….however, Hendricks looked horrible…so.

Gonzaga looked really good, didn't he?
I don’t remember him looking that good…maybe I’m just mis-remembering.

I actually like it, too.
It kept pace and didn’t lag at all. They could use some better production with graphics and such for transition shots and walk-ins, fighter profiles, etc.. But the table itself was good.

Once again, Franklin McNeil was terrible.
As someone trying to make a career in MMA commentary, its maddening he has such an elevated position. Yes, I covet.
He’s not much of a personality, either. He’s very dry..

I agree that it would benefit the panel to upgrade him,
but I just don’t see the implied emergency…maybe I’m just too ‘casual’ of a fan.
There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.
I don’t think there’s any kind of “emergency”, other than the natural sense of urgency that comes with seeing someone screw up and knowing that there are many people out there who could do a better job. It’s not a “do or die, now or never” urgency, just a “geezuschrist, this isn’t that HARD!” kind of urgency.

Cmon...
Every panel needs “the dim guy”. He fits it perfectly.
I told you I can't build your candy house! It will fall apart, the sun will melt the candy, it won't work!
That's basically
my position. Even watching NFL games, there’s at least one Captain Obvious and another Commander Cliche in the broadcast booth who offer no true insight to the strategy/tactics of the game, or even the individual player’s efforts. And really, the NFL is the model to which all other sports promotions/leagues aspire.
I’m not saying it’s right, just that it’s unlikely our sport will every do differently. Which is why I’d like an alternate audio track with guys like Bas giving real honest-to-God insights that most of the audience have no opportunity to observe or understand.

Is it still available on ESPN.com?
I can’t seem to find it, but I haven’t looked very hard..

I noticed that on the newest Vlog. Maybe this time he’s stipulating a boxing match for Tito to come back.

Haha, I didn't get it at first.
Nice find.

So, off topic but...
I notice only Arriany is there, and I haven’t seen Edith at the past couple of PPVs. Did they get rid of her, and decide that one ring girl can handle the job?
Only if it’s permanent work. If it’s a short trip (business trip), she doesn’t need one. Actually, visas are required for everything, only that it’s automatically granted for Canadians at the border. I’m pretty sure on this, but if anyone’s an expert on this, please chime in.
Friend of mine works for immigration and border services. Her word is that temporary work visas are only granted at the border when a person is working for an organization that meets some bizarre criteria that essentially comes down to a gut feeling on the part of the officer as to whether or not the business is legit. Apparently lots of women coming to the States to do “modeling” – meaning, for anything other than a shoot for an established magazine or clothing vendor, and especially anything where the ladies are basically eye-candy, like racing or boxing/MMA – are denied work visas pending some complicated review process which inevitably takes longer than the actual event. This is supposedly becaue “modeling” is a key word that border officers are taught actually means “high priced prostitution”.
I don’t know if any of this has anything to do with Edith’s (lack of) presence, but there ya go.
Yes!
Actually, I don’t know. But the visa excuse doesn’t fly. Oh yeah, Rachelle Leah is the other ring girl tomorrow.
Randy looking a little small..
I hope his plan isn’t to go Speedy Gonzalez on Lesnar. This is basically a light heavyweight VS heavyweight fight. Not looking good for Randy.
That’s what people thought about Petruzelli vs. Kimbo (crosses fingers)

Randy's sponsored by Full Tilt?
Badass!
by Derek Suboticki on Nov 14, 2008 8:52 PM EST up reply actions
It seems so
Card Player magazine has an article about it
Randy Coutour, the current heavyweight champion of the UFC, has agreed to wear Full Tilt gear during today’s weigh-in for the fight, which is being broadcast live right now on ESPN. He will also wear Full Tilt gear at the fight, which takes place tomorrow on pay-per-view.

Did they really spell Couture 'Coutour'
Fucking a.
by Derek Suboticki on Nov 14, 2008 9:25 PM EST up reply actions
yeah
but strangely they spelled it correctly in the very next paragraph.
Couture wore Full Tilt gear on Fox Sports Net’s "Best Damn Sports Show Period," which aired Thursday, and reportedly even filmed a commercial for Burger King wearing the online poker site’s logo.
not every website has an editor like Luke :)
Randy, leaning forward with the double-handed handshake.
Brock, basically standing straight up, only putting out the one hand.
Brock has already won this fight in their minds.

What an expensive main event..
Dana would lose it if one of them Cote’s in the first round.
Another point I’d like to make— Hendricks was Couture’s Brockelganger. Umm… Not even close dude. Gotta wonder if that’ll have any effect on his expectations of Brock’s strength/control.
history repeats itself
UFC 68
Tim Sylvia – 263
Randy Couture – 222.5
UFC 74
Gabriel Gonzaga – 252
Randy Couture – 228.5
