I really like Stephan Bonnar on the show.
If Dana does add Carano vs Cyborg on the WEC – it’s going to pull major viewer numbers.

I'm glad to hear him at least acknowledge the idea
in a highly visible forum. Carano is a ready-made superstar for any promotion and it would be pretty foolish to let her fall into a rival organization’s hands when it’s so easy for Dana to just scoop her up.
There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.
I’m sure ESPN gets barraged with e-mails telling them to kick Franklin McNeil off the show. Why don’t they listen!?!
Also, I think Stephan Bonnar’s awkward enthusiasm is pretty hilarious.
So long as they can deliver their opinions in an economical fashion,
I’ll take honesty first every time. For whatever reason, Bonnar strikes me as honest in his assertions.

WAIT WAIT WAIT
Did everyone hear that? Dana would at least consider the idea of doing a female superfight in the WEC? That makes me very hopeful.
Second, McNeil has a storied career in boxing journalism, but he’s terrible on this show. I have no problems going on the record with that. He offers boilerplate analysis that surface level at best.
Yeah, the Women's MMA soundbyte was EXTREMELY encouraging.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s ok to have people who aren’t good analysts, just so long as they don’t actually do damage. I’ll be the racist and also say that it helps mainstream acceptance to have a (semi-)prominent black combat sport journalist anchoring the desk on a major MMA news show.
So long as they aren’t telling outright lies, I’m ok with sub-par analysts, so long as they offer something else to the panel. I’m not a McNeil fan, but I don’t feel like he needs impeachment. Just make sure there are capable people opposite him to provide the actually valuable insight, and I think it’s ok.
