Back in their Catch/Pro-Wrestling days, Tamura was a primadonna while Saku was a new student and Tamura’s punching bag. Tamura pretty much went as far as telling Saku he wouldn’t make it in the biz. Then UWFi went bankrupt and folded into New Japan Pro Wrestling. Takada, who ran UWFi, took his stable and formed Kingdom Wrestling. Tamura turned his back on them and joined RINGS, Akira Maeda’s Catch promotion. Later on Saku wins Ultimate Japan and becomes the Gracie Killer in PRIDE. Tamura had difficulty transitioning into full MMA matches and has had a shaky career.
