So it looks like Dana is gonna spice things up a bit with 50. Hopefully just for the live events b/c I love the intro song for TUF – I can’t find it anywhere either. I like the intro song for the live events too, but I got that on my ipod – so I could go either way.

Nothing gets me LESS hyped for a fight than hearing hip hop as a ring entrance. If anything they should can their crappy nu-metal, limp bizkit wanna be intro songs and get some heavier shit. Shits weak!

agreed. i usually have to turn the sound off. not to mention the TUF intro music!

in one of dana’s recent video blogs, he was watching the video edits for the intro package to whatever show it was… and they were replaying that song over and over. i can’t see how everyone involved isn’t completely sick of it by now. but maybe i just need to stop whining and get “down wit tha siqness”.

Anything heavier would not appeal to the majority of the audience. I have watched some HL vids of different fighters and I can’t tolerate the heavy metal

I think it was in another one of the video updates where Dana said he doesn’t tell fighters to stand up, take it to the ground, etc. The most influence he has is telling a fighter he can’t walk out to some song.
The meeting with 50 cent is likely just a deal where one or two fighters per event will walk out to his songs. I think not picking your entrance music is pretty lame (or having to pick from a list) but it’s also a minor issue to get worked up over.
