Quote of the Day 2: Jason "Mayhem" Miller on "Jesus Kimbo Christ"
Fronted by Kid Nate.
Mayhem Miller on his ProElite blog:
Wow, wtf. Kimbo loses a fight and its like Jesus fell off his damn dinosaur.
Mayhem thinks Kimbo is like Santa -- if you accept what he is and why you watch, you don't care about things like his actual MMA skills or legitimacy of the opponents, you just want the dude with the beard to hand out more presents.
I'm not a Kimbo fan, but I am a Mayhem fan. And that first line made me spit my Diet Mountain Dew all over some pretty important paperwork.

Gawds being the lords of Valley-Holla! where Valley girls are taken when they inevitably collapse in the mall.

Mountain Dew in general...is the necatr of Gods.
Thats wild you use that termonology, because I always tell people when they ask about my Dew addiction ‘its God’s sweet nectar’…

He's so right.
Even Lesner doesn’t have this much hype. Anyone upset or surprised by the outcome just doesn’t watch the sport.

I was surprised that EXC would expose him to so much risk and give him a new guy last minute. That is alway trouble. I guess they didn’t think it was that risky since they gave Seth money to stand.

I’ve got to believe CBS wanted Kimbo on the show no matter what. They put him at risk, but they didn’t have to totally disappoint the fans by completely scrapping the main event. I don’t think CBS cares that much about the long-term in regards to EXC. They just want the four shows they’re due to pull decent ratings.

Cannon – I totally agree. CBS had to know the bubble would burst sometime and was just trying to get as much exposure as they could for the four fight deal. If Kimbo wins, great, there’s one more show that they could use his exposure for. If Kimbo loses, disappointing, but now they can pimp his road back to redemption and dump the whole deal. Either way they got the ratings for shows 1 and 3 and can hope that 4 isn’t a complete bomb.

Jason is one of the innately smarter individuals in this business. I’ve spent a good deal of time with him working out, chatting about MMA and life in general. We’re polar opposites personality-wise, and a lot of the time he annoys the crap out of me, but he is a smart, witty dirtbag.
