'Big' John McCarthy Leaves The Fight Nework:
"Well this is my farewell from the Fight Network. While I will not miss what has happened or transpired at the company, I am really going to miss some very special people that I have come to know and respect in my short time with them.
To all of the higher ups that have taken over the Fight Network over the last year I only have this to say.............. Shame on you.................."
- Make sure to check out this thread on the UG in which JT McCarthy talks about some of the inner turmoils of The Fight Network.

I never really cared for Mauro. Other than being a bit corny and having some really bad analogies…….I never thought the things i just read were true.
Now I can say that i think Mauro is an asshole. He seems liek a real tool. I mean insulting people he thinks are below him, sexual harassment, etc ,etc…..
Never woudla thunk it

Wow that UG thread is pretty telling. I sort of wondered where the pre and post shows went and “randys picks” section went since I used to enjoy watching them. Now that I think about it I don’t really watch TFN much anymore, there just isn’t any compelling content.
And wow about Mauro, I’m not a fan of his commenting style but he seemed nice enough, that thread is a disaster for him.

Couture vs. Lesnar
Both are tough tough guys, maybe the toughest in MMA. I think Couture is a true champ and has proven himself over and over. It’s a shame we have to age because I could watch him for ever. There’s no one else I can think of to put a face to MMA than Couture. Brock Lesnar is new in MMA with three fights to his credit but he’s one tough guy. Once he learns more than wrestling he’ll be champ for a long time. Randy is a master of the game and in this ione I’m pulling for him but if Brock wins that’s okay to. I believe either of these guys would beat Slice and one day we may get a chance to watch them. As for Slice’s loss, no big deal. He got dropped by a lucky shot and went down. He was beat not beaten up so he’ll be back but the next fight needs to me someone with a name in MMA and not some old timer who couldn’t make it any longer in the UFC.

Ultimate Fighter series
Was this show on the fight networ? I’ve watched it for years and never paid any attention which network carried it. I can’t find it on cable anywhere .

to my knowledge it was never carried by TFN, though I"m sure they tried. The show currently runs on Wednesday evening on SpikeTV which is available just about everywhere in north america.

In Big John’s goodbye post he says:
A few people have said that I have attacked the UFC. That is simply not true. I have never said anything bad about the UFC.
I guess Big John already forgot about saying this.
