Thus saying, that GSP would destroy him.

what exactly did Franklin say?

He basically said GSP was a great athelete who’s evolved the best as a fighter over the years. He also said Silva’s stand up is way better and that GSP would have a better chance if he didn’t stand with him, which I’d have to agree with.

I agree GSP’s best chance of beating Silva would be to take it to the ground, but it seems we are all really underestimating Silva’s BJJ because we have not really seen it. What is the height difference between GSP & Silva anyway? It seems like Silva is considerably taller & GSP might have a really hard time not eating knees while attempting takedowns.

Yeah, maybe we haven’t seen much of Silva’s BJJ, but that’s precicely why I think GSP has a better shot there. GSP’s wrestling is better than Silva’s and he’s now a black belt in BJJ himself. We all know Silva’s deady accuracy and striking ability. GSP would get lit up like a pinball machine on his feet. Silva’s height and those long limbs would be a big problem, but I think Jackson and crew can figure out a good game plan.
Personally, I don’t think GSP has reached his peak yet.

The key question..
is can Silva keep GSP out of takedown range long enough to knock him out? I think he can.

I just hesitate
to say anyone would have any decided advantage against Silva until we see it. It would be cool to see GSP face him to figure that out.
