Watch Quinton Jackson in "The Midnight Meat Train" for Free

It's not too often that I can combine my nerdly obsessions of horror and MMA but Quinton Jackson's role in the film adaptation of the classic Clive Barker short story "The Midnight Meat Train" has given me one of those rare opportunites to do so. As you may (or may not) have heard Lions Gate decided to not do a full theatrical release rather late in the game and instead do a limited release with a straight to DVD follow-up.
However, if you have a VOD (Video on Demand) service which features FearNet you are able to watch the movie for free RIGHT NOW. Furthermore, if you're not one of the fortunate with FearNet but do have a high speed internet connection. You will have a one day window to catch the movie online at FearNet's website on October 30th.
So either way, you have the chance to watch Quinton's turn in a major Hollywood movie (we'll overlook the fact that the movie was given the shaft at the last minute) for free!
Just a little bit of a pre-Halloween treat for our readers here at BloodyElbow.com.

Breant – I checked out [REC] (the original Quarantine) on YouTube form your recommendation… wasn’t bad.
I love me some horror movies… any other recommendations?
Depending on your taste...
and if you don’t mind subtitles…pretty much all the best stuff is coming from everywhere BUT the states (and Japan…I HATE me some J-horror)
-French horror movies Frontier(s), Inside, Ils are all pretty wonderful (Inside is pretty intense).
-Rogue is an Aussie movie which is a bit of fun – first killer animal movie in probably 20 years that wasn’t a gigantic turd.
-Most people who are into horror have already seen it…but The Descent is pretty much “must-see”
-Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon is another one of those funny and different things.
…that should be enough to get you through the holiday.

I can second Descent and Behind The Mask, especially the latter which I thought would be too quirky but ended up being just quirky enough.
Also, The Devil’s Chair.

Ahhh you guys are bringing out the couch potato side of me!! And in my favorite season (Halloween time) and genre (Horror).
-Oldboy. Awesome Thai torture/horror and a very emotional story.
-Shutter. The original Thai version. Widely called the scariest movie ever. I disagree, but still very good.
-One Missed Call. Again the original Japanese version.
-Ichi the Killer. Not really horror, but a great, demented flick.
-Haute Tension. Very good French movie. Got caught in some litigation from Dean Koontz (basically the same story as "Intensity")
-Audition. Starts a little slow, but if this doesn’t make you cringe…
-Premonition. The original Japanese version. Great story.
-Phone. Not bad, creepy story.
-Wolf Creek. From down under. Starts slow, but it really gets going.
-City of the Living Dead and The Beyond. Classic Italian horror.
-Phenomena/Creepers. My favorite Dario Argento movie. Stars Donald Pleasance and a young Jennifer Connelly.
Of course there are greats that most everyone has seen, but still a few have not.
-Halloween. My favorite movie of all time.
-John Carpenter’s The Thing.
-The original Salem’s Lot TV mini-series.
-Any Hammer movie. Very great nostalgia, especially the first few Christopher Lee Dracula outings.
Recently i have enjoyed…
-The Strangers. Watch it alone, in the dark and at a remote location if you can, lol. Seriously, let your imagination go and this is a pretty good movie that relies on suspense rather than gore.
-House of 1000 Corpses/The Devil’s Rejects/Planet Terror/Death Proof. I lumped these together, because they are trying to accomplish the same things. It is up to you if you think they succeed. These are new movies meant to flash back to the 70’s (when I was a kid being raised on this kind of stuff, lol). they pay tribute to the cutting edge horror/splatter and exploitation movies of that era. They have been much maligned, but I find they hit home since that is what I grew up watching.
I know this isn’t mma, but it is that time of year and we can all use a distraction. So leave your thoughts on some movies and your recommendations.

My thoughts on your list...
-Oldboy is great
-Shutter didn’t do it for me (still about 100000x better than american version)
-One Missed Call was good.
-Ichi the Killer wasn’t my thing. Miike falls into the “weirdness for weirdness sake” trap a bit much here. (and someone has a touch of the Miike bug don’t they?)
-Haute Tension is awesome.
-Premonition – Haven’t seen it. I hit a wall where I can’t deal with much Asian horror these days.
-Wolf Creek – same director as my aforementioned Rogue. And very good.
-City of the Living Dead and The Beyond. – Wonderful
-Phenomena/Creepers. – Wonderful
-Audition – VERY good, and disturbing

It is amazing how “Amercanizing” a movie can destroy it. I’m not sure if it is our society, or the fact that Hollywood doesn’t think people can understand more than a guy in a mask slashing people, lol.
I liked Shutter for the eventual revelation, but I didn’t think it lived up to the huge hype surrounding it. Ichi was absolutely over the top strange and I couldn’t handle a solid diet of that.
You have to see Premonition. It is so far superior to the US version, I can’t even tell you. I would classify it more as a supernatural drama along the lines of The Butterfly Effect, only waaay better, of course. It relies far more on the story, than it does on gray skinned ghosts.

Great list. Oldboy and Wolf Creek are both top-notch.
Audition stuck with me for a long, long time – I’ve never seen a movie turn on a dime quite like that.

All movies that kind of build up the story for a while, then let you have it. Some people only like the in your face from the credits type of movie, but I really like the build the story and get people attached to the character type.
I swear, when I first watched Audition, I thought I must have been watching the wrong movie, lol. I think this is the movie that really made me pay attention to Asian horror.

LMAO
I saw this just the other day and thought to myself
“Who else would care that Rampage had a 2 minute scene in a movie?” Of course I told all my friends so I’m glad to see this post
If you have on demand service in your area it’s available in SD or HD
all you gotta do is...
Exactly...
2 minutes of ’Page is a good enough reason for me post a bit of a “spirit of the season” thing of this nature.

not "REALLY" bad
but there were a few moments where I almost turned it off, luckily I didnt’t or I wouldn’t have seen the Page in action
all you gotta do is...
I work part time for Blockbuster and Rampage Jackson is in a movie that is coming out on DVD called “Confessions of a Pit Fighter” no I did not watch it because when I looked at it the second name on the cover was “Flavor Flav” then “Rampage Jackson.” This movie though is a very solid psychological film, and Rampage is just funny unintentionally.
