Pictured: Joachim Hansen, Hayato "Mach" Sakurai, Kazushi Sakuraba, Shinya Aoki, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Mitsuhiro Ishida, Masakazu Imanari, Takeshi Yamazaki, Atsushi Yamamoto, Kuniyoshi Hironaka, Ikuhisa "Minowaman" Minowa, Kiyoshi Tamura, Seichi Ikemoto, Yuichi Nakanishi, Musashi, Yasuhiro Kido and Yoshihiro Sato.

(Notably absent: Yoshihiro Akiyama)

From this weekend's FEG press conference announcing FieLDS (née K-1) Dynamite!! 2008, which will be held at Saitama Super Arena on New Year's Eve. As of right now, all 17 of the above fighters are expected to participate on the massive mixed MMA/K-1 card, which could eventually boast up to 20 fights. Other possible participants mentioned include Masato, Norifumi "KID" Yamamoto, Caol Uno, Hideo Tokoro, Masakatsu Funaki, Katsuyori Shibata, Junichi Sawayashiki, Taishin Kohiruimaki, Mirko CroCop, Gegard Mousasi and Choi Hong Man.

I believe this is the definition of "putting all your eggs in one basket."

This is a pretty huge show even by Dynamite!! standards. They say they’re still actively negotiating with Fedor and Akiyama as well, plus there are the Nick Diaz rumors.

I hope they can put together Cro Cop/Overeem II for this show as well. Not that we need any clarification on how that bout would have ended, but it would be nice to see an end to that storyline after all the smack talk.
