"Leben by decision over the most overrated TUF winner in UFC history in Bisping."

I wouldn’t put overrated and TUF in the same sentence if I were him, considering his brother didn’t make it past the weigh-ins

Meaning of "overrated"
I don’t think you quite understand the meaning of overrated here, Bronzeville Bully. Clay’s brother’s appearance on TUF has little impact on his statement here. Jason Guida was never hyped or predicted to be a huge star on TUF like Bisping was; therefore Guida isn’t contradicting himself at all by calling Bisping out.

That bitch should shut his face
Runner-up for most boring fighter ever! Clay “the unfinisher” Guida!

Guida's not boring
I prefer his balls-out entertaining fights to most anyone else’s. He never tires, always goes full-speed, and whips the crowd up. He’d be even better if he finished more fights, but he’s not boring.

OMG
I actually agree with you on something. That dude is the biggest Lay’n’pray waste of space in ZUFFA. He makes Sherk look like OWGP Crocop.

His fight with Danzig was a hug-fest. I wouldn’t say he was a LnP fighter, but his last fight left much to be desired. He controlled Danzig with a great game plan, but had he fought any other way, Danzig would’ve killed him.
He used to be an exciting fighter, but his new grind out a victory strategy makes him boring.

Weird
I don’t recall Guida ever getting nasty like that with other fighters. Makes me wonder if it’s something personal.

Well if he thought he was overrated then why doesn’t he say Leben by 1st round KO or something. Maybe Clay is jealous of his boyish good looks.

I think Guida’s logic very likely was along these lines
Leben: TUF loser, 8-3 UFC record, current odds -165
vs.
Bisping: TUF Winner, 7-1 UFC record, current odds +240
BUTin spite of this he still thinks Leben eeks out the win because Bisping is overrated. He would have to be overrated according to the odds if he were to lose.

I agree with Guida. Who has Bisping fought that has any cred? His two toughest opponents defeated him – Evans and Hamill. And even though he got the win over Hamill, anyone who watched that fight knows it was one of the worst decisions ever. I almost thought that The Count got that one because if not there probably would have been a riot in the O2 Arena. Which makes me wonder if the same kind of decision could happen again, being (again) in England for this fight.

Leben must finish
Leben is going to have to finish Bisping not because of judges but for his career to have a dynamic future.

He beat Hamill. He won the fight. It was unimpressive, but he won and he deserved to win. Just because a guy that was supposed to get killed hangs on for three rounds doesn’t mean he won.

Is Hamill a chump that people are using it as a barometer to dismiss Bisping? Everyone knows he has trouble with big wrestlers. He’s a natural middleweight who fought at a higher weight class, beat a great wrestler and lost against a light heavy contender. Evans barely won by controlling him with wrestling. It was a very even fight.
The Bisping haters are grasping at straws. I know he’s the UFC’s protected golden-boy, but is that a reason for this kind of hate? Blame Dana, not Bisping. Okay, he had a grating personality on TUF. I can’t defend him for that.

BS
bisping went the distance with rashad when he had no business fighting 205….ask chuck liddell how he fared against sugar, and he’ll say “huh?” I think liddell’s still recovering from that ko. Bisping is on a whole other level than that butt rocker guida and that drunk leben. Bisping by late 2nd early 3rd round ko or submission due to strikes

Fighters should just stay out of each other’s business unless it is to promote a fight, we do not need this turning into “the View”.
Clay if you think he is underrated, move up to 185 and fight him, other than that I do not see how his opinion qualifies as a correct answer.
Bisping was overrated at 205 and in my opinion he is underrated at 185.
Leben is a huge test for him and how he performs here will settle his “rating” in my opinion.

Guida, learn some skills other than wrestling.

I like Guida, but...
Having met and talked to Guida on two occasions – at UFC 72 and latterly when he was in the crowd at UFC 84 – I can say he’s a relaxed and affable guy.
This comment, however, is so far out of left-field and not in keeping with his nature that I’m guessing it has to be a personal issue that he has with Mike, as opposed to one based on a subjective analysis of Bisping’s skills.
It certainly had me scratching my head in a “he said what???” kind of way…. strange.

Not a big fan of TUF, but who else is more overrated?
Amir Sadollah, Mac Danzig, Nathan Diaz, Matt Serra, Travis Lutter, Kendall Grove, Michael Bisping, Joe Stevenson, Rashad Evans, Diego Sanchez, Forrest Griffin
Of these 11 past winners who would ya’ll say even has a chance to be considered overrated?
Amir, Danzig, Diaz, Serra, Lutter to me don’t have enough UFC fights or wins to really be all that overrated yet. In my opinion Serra has a lot of potential to prove that he is deserving of this tittle, but he needs a few more losses to do that.
Kendall Grove well I don’t think many think he will ever be a contender.
Joe Stevenson had a legit run at the title and Forrest has the title so right now can’t really be all that overrated. I doubt there are very many people that thing Stevenson has a good chance at betting BJ again.
Rashad Evans was like a 4 to 1 underdog in his last fight which he won decisively so he’s certainly underated.
Uhm, I guess that leaves Michael Bisping who has the fights, lacks quality/decisive wins, and routinely is at the top end of the betting odds. I can find much fault with Guida’s statement.

Leben ... by decision!?!?
I agree with Clay that Bisbing is overrated … I also think he’s a boring fighter. But I seriously doubt that if Leben wins it will be by decision. I’m picking Leben to win by knockout in the second round.

Huh...
I’m always caught off guard by the Bisping is boring crowd. He blew up Jason Day and Charles McCarthy, the decision with Evans wasn’t amazingly great but it was a product of “pre-good standup” Rashad’s gameplan, the Hamill fight was good…I don’t know why it is that people think he is boring. Especially the Bisping that exists since dropping down to 185

Why I think Bisbing is boring
No knockout power, nor especially slick submissions. He’s a ground and pounder who bullies and beats people up till he gets a ref stoppage or decision. I respect his skill, I just prefer a more wide open style like Leben’s.

well he is a high action guy, and he’s only going to improve his skills in my opinion.

Bisping – 83% of his fights have ended with him finishing his opponent vs. 65% for Anderson Silva and 51% for Chuck Liddell…two of the most notorious “finishers” in the sport…obviously this is in part due to quality of opponent…but Bisping tends to do what he is supposed to and that is finish most of the guys put in front of him. He has gone to a decision a total of 3 times in his career. That would seem to lend itself to his not being a guy who looks for decisions.
