I'm surprised Vera weighed a smallish 203, especially for a cutting HW.
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.
Guess he has cut the body fat as rumored, good news for me, then.

Mike Easton told me that during the training camp Rhadi Ferguson and Vera both agreed it was possible for Vera to make 185lbs.
Can and should in this case are worlds apart. I a for guys cutting as much weight as possible, but middleweight for Vera would take a lot. If he were really good at cutting and maybe had some college wrestling type dedication to cutting then I might be for it, but it just seems like he is one of those guys that has an ideal fighting weight that is between the weight classes.
I imagine Rhadi’s method of determining what weight class someone should fight in involves him picking him up and seeing how many times he can throw him over his head.
It was all himmy

Vera...
that’s good news and should free some of you gamblers to go ahead and lay a little money on him.

I’m really interested in the Vera/Jardine fight. I think Jardine is overlooked a lot even before he was knocked out by Wand. This could be a good one.

Is it just me or is this card stacked with great matchups? Theres a lot of underrated fighters on the undercard, I wish I could see the Gono v Hardy and Baron v Miller fights.
It may lack a true main event (though I am very intrigued by Bisping/Leben) but theres a lot of new comers on this card that I’ve been dying to see make their UFC debut. Its got everything you’d want from a night of fights, some pretty interesting UFC debut’s, excellent LW and WW matchups that should provide fireworks, KO artists matched up against each other, and not to mention Bisping/Leben and Jardine/Vera. I cannot wait.
Vera looked a lot lighter at the weigh-in than even 203 - Proof

Jeez – he lost weight AND put on muscle!
But seriously: half the people who read this site do it for the hot man-on-man face-offs, so let’s get with the pic-posting people. asa’s not gonna be happy if he shows up to the weigh-in thread and there are no shirtless men. ;-)
