They're action figures, not dolls
I want a Sokoudjou in his Predator helmet.

They're certainly not all that impressive
Looks a bit like they’ve been done on the cheap, considering that you could laser-scan the fighters to get a 100% accurate likeness. I wonder who they consider their target market to be??

They look like prototypes.
At least I hope they are, because with a couple of them I couldn’t even tell who they were supposed to be at first glance. The Brazilians all came out looking pretty good though.
Some thoughts on the UG:
I dont know, maybe im the only one that occasionally walks through the toy aisles at stores… But these look like the shit we played with in the eighties, absolutely fucking horrible. Even disgustingly cheap small children’s toys inspired by cartoons look better. Action figures are on a whole new level these days. For those of you planning on buying these steaming pieces of plastic fail, thank you for supporting a market of shit.

But what’s up with Fedor? Seriously, it even has his total lack of interest in the feeble skills of the doll makers. I’m pretty sure he’s about to armbar someone.
Where are there nipples? They don’t have nipples. Some have what look to be scars where nipples should be. Perhaps from a nipple removal surgery. Anyone else man enough to talk about a dolls nipples with me?

Guys these have NOT been released, nor are they the final versions.
I am not expecting a huge improvement, but as an old collector of WWE Classic figs I know how JAKKS work and they release proto-types pretty early (sometimes up to 6 months in advance) to get a feel what consumers are saying about them.
They will be a lot more respectable when it’s time to launch, and regardless of what anyone says, the 1st series will be worth buying, for future value alone.
