Arona bets on Wanderlei Silva at UFC 92:
"Quinton (Rampage) is a great fighter, but only when he’s doing well in the fight. When he fights someone like me or Wanderlei he doesn’t like it, tries the takedowns and get's lost. Wanderlei needs to do the same gameplan, doesn’t need to change anything. Quinton has a fucking hand, if he hits you, you’ll feel it, but it’s the perfect game for Wanderlei".

I would have thought Rampage LOVES his fight with Arona. It sure looks like fun slamming Ricardo through the floor.

Rampage was knocked out in that fight and it should have been stopped well before the big slam. I’m a big Rampage fan, and the slam is one of the greatest highlight reel moments in MMA history, but Arona was basically robbed out of a win earlier in the fight.

I always thought the cage was even better for my game. I like to use elbows on the ground, which I couldn’t do in Pride. I can’t wait to fight for my fans.
I’ll wait for a proposal. Of course, I would love to fight in the UFC, because it’s for sure the best event, but I’m also studying some other proposals. I’m waiting calmly for my time. I’m ready to do my best in the ring or in the cage.
[Lyoto is] defending Brazil well in the MMA world, and I respect him a lot, but if I get into the UFC and have to fight Lyoto, I’d go to win. He’s a great champion, but if I’m well-trained, I know my potential. I can beat anyone.
