Wow

Dana has seemed more reserved the last couple months in interviews, holding back on the language and such. That sure went out the window. Swearing and ranting aside, there’s nothing being said that’s untrue.

I said it before, and I will say it again

I know everybody hates him, and no one is going to side with me, but I love this guy. Sure he does some shady stuff, but overall the guy saved this sport and he is entertaining as all hell to boot.

i dont know about 75%, but there are an awful lot of fans who hate on dana and the ufc for no apparent reason, except that they are considered “the man”, keeping everyone else down. it’s all b.s. Dana is the man when it comes having the best mma org around and actually caring about the sport and its fighters.

It all comes full circle to our convo about this being a more sensible group of posters

I think many of our forum members are more concerned with the well-being of the sport of MMA, whereas many forums around the interweb seem obsessed with toppling the UFC tower and/or are trendy MMA fans who cannot like the most popular organization/only enjoy foreign fight cards/only root for BJJ specialists from Rio. Again, I think we’re more even-keeled in this neck of the woods..

Big fan of Dana.

I think he is smart enough to sit back and keep a “lower” profile than he may normally. Now is a time where the negative focus is on EXC and their idiot figureheads. I think Dana is just laying low and letting them take all the heat. Honestly, the EXC mess has made Dana look that much better in the eyes of media and many fans.

I don’t scour the internet looking for bad things about him. This blog is where I do most of my MMA Blog Shopping, so I can only go by what I see here. And here – I think we get what he’s doing, and if its true that 75% of people on other sites hate Dana then I must say that’s very sad, and I’m even more glad I stopped by this site first.

That’s because this blog is the best for following MMA, the level-headed hardcores are here. Hell even Mania and Junkie have gone down the tubes a bit. I absolutely love this site.

This site and CagePotato are the only MMA sites I visit daily. Theres a lot of love for our F-Bomb droppin buddy over there too. Man, you can just see how passionate Dana is about this in the video.AWESOME!

I LOVED every bit of that interview!!!!! I’m not usually a big fan of the “F Bomb” just for the sake of using it, but he hit a very nice stride in using it this time. That $hit was great!!

At this point it doesn’t matter if you love or hate Dana White he does have a very good point. The saddest thing of all is that Lappen (and Shaw before him) don’t even seem to understand why offering only a knock out bonus is influencing how a fighter gameplans a fight and goes against the very idea of “Mixed Martial Arts”. Hell Lappen keeps going on and on about his ratings in interviews about this subject, he doesn’t have a clue about the integrity of the sport he’s just Vince McMahon’ing it up for rating’s points.

Dana has a right to be pissed this is a huge challenge to MMA’s credibility and the jokers at EliteXC don’t even seem to understand that there is a real problem with what they are doing. People on boards like to throw around “true fan of the sport” when talking about the UFC and it’s competitors but this is a case where “true fans of the sport” should be worried about the integrity of the sport they love.

I just hope Dana goes at EliteXC like he used to do Tito. I want him to trash Elite at every press conference he holds. Not because I really hate Elite, but because it would be darn entertaining to see what he comes up with.
