ShoXC 10/10 Quick Results:

- Lyle "Fancy Pants" Beerbohm vs. Rafaello "Tractor" Olivera
R1 - Olivera is schooling Beerbohm in round 1. Both very active on the ground, Olivera landing knees and elbows. Wow... one elbow by Beerbohm cuts Olivera badly near the end of the round.
The fight has been stopped. Beerbohm wins by TKO (cut).

- Alexander "Storm" Shlemenko vs. Robert "Bubba" McDaniel
R1 - The USA USA chants start. Shlemenko working for a kimura. McDaniel has the back, landing shots; to full mount. McDaniel domintes round 1. Whoa... flying knee by Shlemenko right at the end of the round. McDaniel is completely floored and groaning.
McDaniel can't answer the second round. Shlemenko wins by TKO.

R2 - So far Lapsley is taking round 2. Lapsley controlling Stumpf mid-way. Nice elbows by Lapsley from guard. Stumpf turns a kimura into full mount. Great escapes, transitions. Lapsley looking good.
R3 - Lapsley is grinding out the win. The ref is making some stupid calls on stand ups. This one is going to the judges score cards.
29-29 (ummm ok), 30-27, 30-27 - Lapsely wins by majority decision.

- Jason Guida vs. Mamed "Cannibal" Khalidov
R1 - Guida bull rushes Khalidov. Both fighters going for leg locks. Khalidov has the armbar, the bigger Guida pulls out. Cut on the top of Guida's head. Khalidov is impressive. Guida looks gased.
R2 - Khalidov comes out with some great kicks. Guida is looking tired. Khalidov is pulling out all the tricks, spinning heal kick, spinning back fist. Khalidov with a nice uppercut, he's trying to finish. The mouth piece goes missing... Guida gets a bizarre break. What a mess. Fight starts - Khalidov landing shots... The ref stops the fight... and Guida pushes the ref.
Khalidov wins by TKO (strikes)

- Dave "Pee Wee" Herman vs. Kerry "Meat Truck" Schall
R1 - Herman landing teep kicks.... Herman gets the plum, adds some vicious knees. Schall falls, Herman finishes it with ground and pound. It was a possible low blow knee shot that dropped Schall.
Herman wins by TKO at 1:06, worst post fight/commentary ever

Thanks for joining us everyone. =) See you next weekend for UFC 89.

Jason “I aint no Gay Bruediger” Guida. No, Jason looked like much less of a moron than Ruediger. Dude knew he was fighting 48 hours after arrival, and still chose to come in 20-25 lbs over weight. What an idiot

This card should be a GOOD one, just like the last ShoXC.
Lots of promising fighters here like Khalidov, Herman, …basically, the whole televised card minus Guida. :)

Boy..

Showtime is still trying to pass Tarver/Dawson off as the most anticipated fight of the year? There’s this little fight in December…maybe they’ve heard of it? Manny Pacquaio vs. Oscar de la Hoya…it’s setting some ticket sale records…kind of a big deal…

Good 1st fight, This card has the makings of another solid show put on by Elite XC.

I like Shlemenko by KO in the 2nd round.

by KneesnBows on Oct 10, 2008 11:27 PM EDT reply actions

Does Bubba

stand a chance?

He sounded pretty scared.

Looking at records, Shlemenko only lost to Pele and Jacare… ouch good luck.

now seriously, Shlemenko by 1st rd KO

Flying groin shot…

that was a nutt shot, clear as day

Bubba said...

“body shot” and they asked if it hit him in the stomach he said “yeah”

They're saying it's ribs

so that’s a TKO

by Brent Brookhouse on Oct 10, 2008 11:37 PM EDT up reply actions

Replay

shows it hit clearly on the ribs. That was beautiful. WOW! Bubba was just eating him up on the ground and gets caught with a desperation flying knee to the body. He is hurt badly. I wouldn’t be shocked if he broke a rib…he is groaning something fierce.

Contributing Editor - BloodyElbow.com - SBNation's mixed martial arts headquarters.

by Brent Brookhouse on Oct 10, 2008 11:38 PM EDT up reply actions

we need gif

asap. that was nice

Bubba was a man to admit it was a rib shot.

by achengy on Oct 10, 2008 11:39 PM EDT up reply actions

I don't think he wanted any part

of getting off the ground again. There was no way he’d have been able to continue

he could have potentially lied

and if he said it was a groin shot… could’ve gotten a DQ win.

by achengy on Oct 10, 2008 11:44 PM EDT up reply actions

Ya, that was tough to see before the replay but that was a great flying knee. Preferctly placed and i’m sure he’s got a few cracked ribs.

wow at the ref threatening to stand Stumf up from full mount

by Nick Thomas on Oct 11, 2008 12:03 AM EDT reply actions

I've only seen a fight stood up when someone had full mount once...

and it was a very good call. 3+ minutes of inactivity. Got mount and didn’t throw a single punch or go for any sort of submission. Just held. Stumf was actively working…so that was crap.

by Brent Brookhouse on Oct 11, 2008 12:05 AM EDT up reply actions

stand up warnings are too quick

like 30 seconds of “inactivity”, i guess they don’t know the meaning of ground and pound

by achengy on Oct 11, 2008 12:07 AM EDT up reply actions

And the ref is pissed off for some reason.

"Where the fuck did his mouthpiece go? Where the hell did it go?! Jesus Christ..."

what a great group of refs they’ve got today.

Guida is getting a hell of a rest as they can’t find his mouthpiece. Corners are supposed to have spare mouthpieces aren’t they?

wow…

keystone cops = refs tonight

by Tonley on Oct 11, 2008 12:34 AM EDT reply actions

Guida would rather be DQ'ed than use the backup mouthpiece...

now he wants it washed off. Guida is mentally weak…I’m sorry…but it becomes more obvious every time I see him.

by Brent Brookhouse on Oct 11, 2008 12:34 AM EDT reply actions

Guida just pushed the ref...

He took a good 10-15 unanswered punches and shoved the ref when he stopped it. then shoved the camera away.

Like I said…mentally weak.

by Brent Brookhouse on Oct 11, 2008 12:35 AM EDT reply actions

Guida gassed? What are you crazy? That guy has a gas tank that never empties.
oh wait…. it’s not Clay fighting…

No surprise that Guida gassed, and hard it seems. And all this stuff coming up about his mouth piece makes me shake my head at this guy.

by Discman2 on Oct 11, 2008 12:36 AM EDT reply actions

Oh my god...

This night was more embarrassing that anything he did on TUF.

by Tonley on Oct 11, 2008 12:37 AM EDT reply actions

24 unanswered punches...

none landed too hard…but he took TWENTY-FOUR UNANSWERED PUNCHES! What do you want the ref to do bro? You weren’t fighting back..at all.

And the crowd boos Khalidov.

It is impossible for EXC to have a show that doesn’t have some sort of embarrassing garbage.

Wow...

Herman took a huge shot like it was nothing and then just blew Schall up. How Schall is complaining I have no idea. He crumpled from knees to the body and then took some heavy shots while he did nothing but cover up. Just once I’d like to see someone just accept a ref stoppage as appropriate.
