The ref stops the fight... and Guida pushes the ref.
Khalidov wins by TKO (strikes)

Boy..
Showtime is still trying to pass Tarver/Dawson off as the most anticipated fight of the year? There’s this little fight in December…maybe they’ve heard of it? Manny Pacquaio vs. Oscar de la Hoya…it’s setting some ticket sale records…kind of a big deal…

Does Bubba
stand a chance?
He sounded pretty scared.
Looking at records, Shlemenko only lost to Pele and Jacare… ouch good luck.
USA chant...

so that’s a TKO

Replay
shows it hit clearly on the ribs. That was beautiful. WOW! Bubba was just eating him up on the ground and gets caught with a desperation flying knee to the body. He is hurt badly. I wouldn’t be shocked if he broke a rib…he is groaning something fierce.

we need gif
asap. that was nice
Bubba was a man to admit it was a rib shot.
I don't think he wanted any part
of getting off the ground again. There was no way he’d have been able to continue

he could have potentially lied
and if he said it was a groin shot… could’ve gotten a DQ win.
broken sternum?
I wouldn’t be surprised.
The fact that this is...
about an hour and a half away from my house really is making me question why I didn’t go…

it's okay
I doubt coverage of the non-televised bouts would’ve made that much of a difference. It is Elite XC after all.
Yeah...but...
why am I spending my night on the couch instead of watching fights in a town I have friends in?

I've only seen a fight stood up when someone had full mount once...
and it was a very good call. 3+ minutes of inactivity. Got mount and didn’t throw a single punch or go for any sort of submission. Just held. Stumf was actively working…so that was crap.

stand up warnings are too quick
like 30 seconds of “inactivity”, i guess they don’t know the meaning of ground and pound
What the hell did I miss?
a random timeout from the ref? Why did that happen? I’m confused.

HE'S WORKING FOR A TRIANGLE!

Anyone else
have that round 10-9 Khalidov?
He was more active from the bottom. Guida had position but did nothing with it.
That's what I had

I can’t watch the fights tonight but from looking at the youtube videos of Khalidov I know I’d like to see more of him. His a very exciting fighter.

"Where the fuck did his mouthpiece go? Where the hell did it go?! Jesus Christ..."
what a great group of refs they’ve got today.
Guida is getting a hell of a rest as they can’t find his mouthpiece. Corners are supposed to have spare mouthpieces aren’t they?

terrible reffing
is plaguing this event
Guida would rather be DQ'ed than use the backup mouthpiece...
now he wants it washed off. Guida is mentally weak…I’m sorry…but it becomes more obvious every time I see him.

by Brent Brookhouse on Oct 11, 2008 12:34 AM EDT reply actions
yeah i lost respect for him there
…shouldve just dq’d him.
Guida just pushed the ref...
He took a good 10-15 unanswered punches and shoved the ref when he stopped it. then shoved the camera away.
Like I said…mentally weak.

by Brent Brookhouse on Oct 11, 2008 12:35 AM EDT reply actions
just weak in general
after his “performance” on TUF. He looks worse.
24 unanswered punches...
none landed too hard…but he took TWENTY-FOUR UNANSWERED PUNCHES! What do you want the ref to do bro? You weren’t fighting back..at all.
And the crowd boos Khalidov.
It is impossible for EXC to have a show that doesn’t have some sort of embarrassing garbage.

Why must shenanigans affect the ShoXC cards now?
Somethings up with the refs
a level of unorganization + frantically warning guys on the ground for not doing “enough” work"
Khalidov...
says he broke his thumb in the first round. That was a hell of a lot of hand work after breaking your hand. That’s a tough dude right there. The boos are just a shame.

Doesn’t shadow boxing only go so far?

Good knees by Herman
good night guys.
Wow...
Herman took a huge shot like it was nothing and then just blew Schall up. How Schall is complaining I have no idea. He crumpled from knees to the body and then took some heavy shots while he did nothing but cover up. Just once I’d like to see someone just accept a ref stoppage as appropriate.

Wow. What a terrible post fight interview. The crowd actually started booing.
MMA Sportsbetting Record: 16-15-2, -5.15u
Biggest Win: Marquardt vs. Kampmann, bet 5u on Marquardt @ -125. Won 4u.
Biggest Loss: Liddell vs. Evans, bet 9u on Liddell @ -260. Lost 9u.
Interviewer: “Mamed did you ever think about going to the body when you had him against the ropes?”
Interpreter: " What do you mean by against the ropes?"
Interviewer: …moves on to next question.
That guy does some of the worst post fight interviews I have ever seen. Almost as bad as Goldberg, but not quite.
