Elite XC/Strikeforce Payouts

It's hard to know which organization is doing the right thing with respect to fighter pay.  Is the UFC's idea of letting market forces slowly inch fighter pay towards big dollars the right thing for the sport and the organization or is Elite XC/Strikeforce fairly compensating fighters?  I don't know the truth, but I do know the former gives paydays that would make Dana White blush:

-Frank Shamrock ($1.3 million) def. Phil Baroni ($75,000)
-Cung Le ($100,000) def. Tony Fryklund ($12,000)
-Murilo "Ninja" Rua ($50,000) def. Joey Villasenor ($32,000)
-Paul Buentello ($50,000) def. Carter Wiliams ($25,000)
-Paul Daley ($30,000) def. Duane "Bang" Ludwig ($15,000)
-Edson Berto ($25,000) def. Victor Valenzuela ($30,000)
-Josh Thomson ($15,000) def. Nick Gonzalez ($10,000)
Frank Shamrock's payday crushes Chuck Liddell and no one made less than ten grand.  For the fighter's sake, let's hope it's Elite XC that's got the right business plan.

Re: Elite XC/Strikeforce Payouts
Villasenor was on a 32/32 while Ninja was on a 25/25?  That's the only weird one I saw.  Freak's pay seems a little low for his veteran status, but he's damn near washed up.  The rest all seem inline with I believe to be fair money given revenue generated.
Baroni's cut will be MUCH higher since he's getting a cut of the PPV, as will Frank's.
Think Leonard Garcia is debating signing that three fight 2/2 deal?

Re: Elite XC/Strikeforce Payouts
On the surface it does look better than the UFC. Still, there are fighters getting paid $1000 bucks. Not cool.

Re: Elite XC/Strikeforce Payouts
Hmm, not sure what to think.  I wonder what accounts for the discrepancy.

Re: Elite XC/Strikeforce Payouts
The difference is one is official from CSAC and the other is from WrestlingObserver who makes assumptions based on insider information.

Turns out the figures weren't even from WO. MMANews has apologized for attributing the false information to them
