There Are Still Fights For Hughes

I, for one, hope Matt Hughes does not retire.  There are still plenty of interesting fights out there for him, even if there's no chance of him beating St. Pierre these days.  Hughes isn't going to fight guys like Thiago Alves though at this point in his career, he is only going to do the big ones.  If (when) Serra loses to St. Pierre, Hughes/Serra is obviously still a fight fans will want to see, and BJ Penn is still out there waiting for a rubber match too.

Further, if Anderson Silva beats Dan Henderson, Hughes/Silva would be a very intriguing match.  Silva isn't anywhere near the wrestler St. Pierre is, it would be a really interesting fight.

The UFC still needs Matt Hughes.  Look at the UFC 80 card to see why.  He can still provide the big fight atmosphere, and as long as he can do that I hope he sticks around.
