The Smart Money Bets for UFC 77

Fight Opinion has the odds. I'll be taking advantage of the bookies on a couple of matches, Kid Nate's bets in bold:

Brandon Vera: -165
Tim Sylvia: +135

I'm sorry, Brandon Vera is great and all but he's giving up a huge size differential to Sylvia and if he tries to leg kick the Maine-iac he'll get KTFO'd by the giant's jab. Even odds I'd go with Vera, but with these odds I'm going with the ex-champ.

Jorge Gurgel: -165
Alvin Robinson: +135

There is no reason to believe that Jorge will finish this fight -- he's a brawler with no KO power who seems to forget his BJJ skills the minute he walks in the ring. Robinson on the other hand is a finisher. Mr. First Round TKO or sub. I'm going with the taller, more skilled and more aggressive fighter here and if the bookies want to give me odds too, I'll take 'em.

Jason Black: -450
Matt Grice: +300

Jason Black at -450?!?!? The guy is way too big to be fighting at 155. He'll be dehydrated and weak again and Matt Grice is a monster. He got caught against Terry Etim but he won't make that mistake again. Well even if he does, these odds are just irresistable.
